Copy data sets during set creation

When adding new Data Sets to the Case the DataSet dialog shows an option to copy existing Data Sets. Two options are available for copying Data Sets:

  • Values - only the numeric values of cells are copied; new assays can be added to the Set during the copy stage

  • All Values - all the original settings of the Data Set including the assays associated with the Set are copied; no new assays can be added during the copy stage.

To copy a Data Set:

  • select the number of Data Sets to add using the DataSet Count numeric control

  • ensure the Copy check box is selected

  • select whether to copy Values or All Values

  • select the Data Set to copy from

  • select the Base to which the Data Set(s) will be added from the Base menu (Multiple bases)

  • select the type of Data Set from the Type options: either a Manual Data Set where the property values are entered manually in the Data Grid, or Calculated where the property values are calculated using the topology process unit models and the assays defined in the Feed section

  • if adding a single Data Set enter a Name for the Data Set - a Name cannot be set when adding multiple Data Sets and will be generated automatically.
