Pruning allows you to zero out the delta vectors for drivers that have no or insignificant impact on an output. There are two types of pruning in Process Model Manager Reference Manual: manual and automatic pruning. With manual pruning you can decide which delta vectors to prune. Manual pruning is available from the Multiple Bases Graph (Multiple bases graph).
With automatic pruning you can set to zero all delta vectors below a given threshold. To do so, select the Automatic Pruning check box and, optionally, modify the threshold values. A vector is pruned if it falls below either of these thresholds:
-
R^2 Threshold: impact of the driver to the regression fit.
-
% Delta relative significance to Base: relative size of the delta vector as a percentage of the base value.
