Download the PI Vision widgets

You install the AVEVA PI Vision widgets by using the Tools menu in PI Integrator for Esri ArcGIS. The package is downloaded as a ZIP archive that contains the AVEVA PI Vision widget files. To access the widgets, you must first download the file from PI Integrator for Esri ArcGIS and then share them by uploading the file to Portal for ArcGIS or ArcGIS Online.

1. Log in to PI Integrator for Esri ArcGIS and select PI Vision Widgets from the Tools menu.

2. Click Download.

   Some browsers (such as Microsoft Internet Explorer) might rename the extension of the file when it is downloaded. The downloaded file should have the following extension:

   .opdashboardAddin

   Files with extensions other than .opdashboardAddin cannot be installed.

   If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer, a window displays asking whether to open the file, save it, or save the file using a different file name. For Microsoft Internet Explorer, follow the steps below to ensure the file is downloaded correctly:

   1. Click Save as.

   2. In the Save As window, change the file extension to .opdashboardAddin.

      Only the file extension should be changed; the file name can remain the same.

   3. Change Save as type: to *.*.

   4. Click Save.

      Note the location of the file so you can find it later when you upload the AVEVA PI Vision Widgets add-in to Portal for ArcGIS or ArcGIS Online.
