When you start the Layer Delete Wizard, the software determines which environment was used to create the feature service and the user ID of the person who created it. The wizard then prompts for that user's password.
If a feature service was not created by the wizard or was created manually then Step 1 is skipped automatically by the delete wizard. Similarly, if the layer was not published to a GeoEvent Server then Step 2 is skipped. The Layer Delete Wizard displays a message if either of these conditions is true.
Ensure that you have access to the GeoEvent Server and ArcGIS Online or Portal for ArcGIS on which the layer was previously published.

In the Password field, enter your ArcGIS Online or Portal for ArcGIS credentials.

Click Verify credentials to verify that the password is correct.
If the Feature Service was previously created but was then deleted using the My Content screen, the following message displays:
The Feature Service has either been deleted or has been changed on the
system. You can continue to delete the remaining objects. After your credentials are verified, the wizard displays a message indicating that the login was successful and that the feature service was located by the wizard.
