After the installation of the new PI Integrator for Esri ArcGIS instance is complete, you should validate that all of the settings from your old system are present and working on the new system. Follow the steps below to validate your installation.

  1. Log on to PI Integrator for Esri ArcGIS.

  2. Select Administration > Systems and confirm that the end point configuration for AVEVA PI Vision, Portal for ArcGIS, and ArcGIS GeoEvent Server are correct.

  3. Ensure that the PI Integrator user interface is accessible to users. To do this, you must have the same user as before on the new PI Integrator server listed under the local groups, namely, ‘PI Geo Users’ and ‘PI Geo Admins’.

  4. Ensure that AF and Data Archive security for the product are configured correctly.

  5. Verify that existing layers are available and are providing data. This is done by navigating to Systems > GeoEvent connections and verifying that the number of updates for each layer is increasing. Data for individual layers can also be verified by navigating to the GeoEvent connection tab for the layer. Click Test Connection, then the Play button and verify that current PI System data is returned for each poll.

  6. If your system has existing time-enabled feature layers, verify that each one is able to access PI System data. To do this, navigate to each layer in Portal for ArcGIS or ArcGIS Online, click the Data tab, and verify that current PI System data populates the table.
