Configure PI Vision

Ensure that the AVEVA PI Vision server endpoint has been configured. See Configure PI Vision server endpoint.

  1. In PI Integrator for Esri ArcGIS, select the Layer for which you want to display AVEVA PI Vision data, then click the Visualization tab.

    The layer you selected displays.

  2. In the Configuration section, select the PI Vision Server from the list if is not currently displayed.

    If you have multiple AVEVA PI Vision servers configured you can select the one you want to use.

  3. To enable ad-hoc displays, select the Allow ad-hoc PI Vision displays check box.

  4. To associate a custom AVEVA PI Vision display with a map layer, click Add.

    The Add PI Vision displays from server 'server_name' displays.

  5. Select one or more AVEVA PI Vision displays, then click Close.

    The displays are now associated with your map layer. The selected displays show as icons on the Visualization tab.

  6. In the Icons section, you can copy the URLs of the AF Button image, the OSIsoft Button Image, or the PI Vision Button Image.

  7. In the Displays section, click Copy URL to create a copy of the AVEVA PI Vision URL.

    To copy the URL to the clipboard, right-click the URL and select Copy, or type Ctrl-C.

    You can take advantage of the ability of AVEVA PI Vision to hide the toolbar and the time bar by adding the following query parameters to the URL:

    • &hidetoolbar to hide the AVEVA PI Vision toolbar.

    • &hidetimebar to hide the AVEVA PI Vision time bar.
