Install the PI Vision widget

The AVEVA PI Vision widgets need to be installed only once per organization (Portal for ArcGIS or ArcGIS Online). After installing, you can then take advantage of the AVEVA PI Vision widgets to customize maps and link them directly to PI data.

To use the OSIsoft AVEVA PI Vision widgets you must first register the widgets on either your ArcGIS Online or Portal for ArcGIS software.

1. Open ArcGIS Online or Portal and select the My Content tab.

2. Select Add Item > From my computer.

   The Item from my computer window opens.

3. Enter the path and filename of the AVEVA PI Vision widgets, or click Browse and locate the file on your computer.

4. After locating the ZIP archive file on your computer, enter one or more search tags that you can use later to find and identify the widgets, then select Add Item.

   A window opens showing details for the AVEVA PI Vision widgets. You can enter a description and properties for the widgets if you wish. To make the widgets available to others, you must share them.

5. To share the AVEVA PI Vision widgets, select the Share tab.

   The Share window opens.

6. Select whether to share the widgets with everyone, with members of your own group, or with any of the groups listed, then click OK.

   You can use the other tabs in the window to edit, delete, change the owner, update, or check usage. You can also add comments in the comments section.

You should now see the PI Integrator for Esri ArcGIS 2017 - Widgets Add-in to Operations Dashboard for Esri ArcGIS displayed as an option on the My Content tab.
