Follow the steps in this topic to create an Operation View. Operation views can include maps, charts, gauges, and more, based on live geographic data that is defined in a map.
-
Start Operations Dashboard for ArcGIS.
If this is the first time you have used Esri Operations Dashboard, you will be prompted to enter your ArcGIS account credentials. Enter your credentials and proceed to the next step.
-
From the Operations Dashboard opening screen, select Create a New Operation View.
A New screen opens from which you can create either a Multidisplay operation view or a Single display operation view. When you click either Multidisplay operation view or Single display operation view, the features for that view are shown on the right side of the screen.
-
Select Multidisplay operation view then click Create.
The Add Widget window opens. You use the Add Widget window to select a map widget to add to the operation view.
-
Select the icon for the Map widget then click OK.
The Choose Map screen opens. Operations Dashboard finds maps that you have created previously. By default, only maps that are associated with your logon are displayed. To select a map that was created by a different user, enter a name in the Search box. Searches are not case sensitive and wild cards are allowed.
For information about how to create a map, see the topics in: Map and layer configuration
-
Locate the map you want to use, select it, then click Open.
The Configure Map window opens. You can now select one or more data sources for your map.
-
Click OK for now.
In the next topic, you will register the AVEVA PI Vision Widget Add-In.
