Before starting the wizard, make sure you have the following:
-
You must have an ArcGIS Online account or a Portal for ArcGIS account that has privileges to publish a hosted feature service.
-
Your ArcGIS GeoEvent Server is running and is configured as a known ArcGIS GeoEvent Server in PI Integrator for Esri ArcGIS. You can configure the ArcGIS GeoEvent Server endpoint by selecting Administration > Systems.
-
You have administrator credentials for your ArcGIS GeoEvent Server.
-
Your ArcGIS Online account or Portal for ArcGIS is registered as a data store in ArcGIS GeoEvent Server. See the following Esri documentation for additional details about data stores: Managing data stores.
-
The GeoEvent Server Manager certificate must be a trusted and valid certificate. You can check whether the certificate is trusted by browsing to your GeoEvent Server Manager. Depending on your browser, a red lock icon with a warning message is displayed when the certificate is not trusted.
You can either choose to trust the certificate in your browser or obtain and install a valid certificate signed by a Certification Authority to be used with GeoEvent Server.
To trust the certificate in Internet Explorer, see Marking the self-signed GeoEvent Server certificate as trusted by Internet Explorer.
For Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox, follow similar product-specific steps to install a valid certificate.
For information about installing certificates, see Security certificate considerations.
