The Portal for ArcGIS endpoint is a URL that identifies the location of your Portal for ArcGIS server. You specify an endpoint only if your organization uses Portal for ArcGIS as opposed to ArcGIS Online.

Ensure you have access to a working Portal for ArcGIS and that you know the URL.

  1. Using a browser, access the link to PI Integrator for Esri ArcGIS and log in.

If you receive a warning that there is a problem with the website's security certificate, follow the instructions here: Configure certificates.

  2. Select Administration > Systems.

If no Portal for ArcGIS endpoints were defined previously, the following message displays:

Currently, no ArcGIS Portals are registered. Click here to add one.

If one or more Portal for ArcGIS servers have been defined, they are listed alphabetically on the page.

  3. Click Add Portal for ArcGIS.

The Add Portal for ArcGIS window opens.

  4. Enter a name for the Portal for ArcGIS in the Name field.

You can use any name; however, you should select a name that is easy to remember.

  5. Enter a description in the Description field.

  6. Enter the endpoint URL for Portal for ArcGIS in the Endpoint field.

The URL should have the following format:

    https://server(:port)/path

    For example:

    https://my.arcgis-portal.int/arcgis

  7. Click Add when finished.
