You can import one or more client controls from .DLL files. The client controls can be contained in one single .DLL file or span multiple files.
To import a client control, you must have security permissions to import graphic objects.
Note: If you select .NET .DLL files that do not contain client controls, the import process ignores these and continues at the next .DLL file.
To import client controls
-
On the IDE Home ribbon, select Galaxy, then select Import.
-
Select Visualization, then Client Controls. The Import Client Control(s) dialog box appears.
-
Select one or more .NET .DLL files that contain the client controls you want to import and click Open. The Import Preferences dialog box appears.
-
Select the appropriate option for the import and click Import. The Import Client Control(s) dialog box appears.
-
When the client controls are imported, click Close. The imported client controls appear in the Visualization folder.
Note: If the import fails, a message in the Import Client Control(s) dialog box indicates the error.
