Create a named credential for a Power BI report

Power BI requires a security credential to permit a report to be shown while a ViewApp is running. Creating a credential is the responsibility of a ViewApp builder.
A Power BI designer must provide Power BI report information to a ViewApp builder. The following table lists the information needed from a Power BI designer. The procedure to create a credential includes steps to enter Power BI report information in credential fields.

For the procedure to create a System Platform credential, see Manage Credentials in the System Platform OMI online help. When creating the credential, choose the "Domain, UserName,and Password" type of credential.
Proceed to the next workflow in this chapter to configure Power BI App properties. You will need the name of the credential you created in this workflow and the Workspace and Report IDs you created when publishing a Power BI report.
