The Power BI App uses Microsoft Power BI embedded analytics to show a report, which includes a refresh token. The refresh token is updated every 60 minutes in the background without reloading the Power BI report.
Power BI reports are not updated if the refresh token is not updated at the 60 minute interval.

If a ViewApp is running with the Power BI App showing a report and the Internet connection is lost, the report attempts to reconnect. If connectivity is restored within an hour, the Power BI report automatically reconnects and shows the report.
-
If the Internet connection is not restored before the call to refresh the token, a token generation error occurs. The error is logged and displays a visual cue to the user. When the Internet or network is restored, the Power BI report does not refresh automatically. The user must restart the ViewApp or at least reload the Power BI App to show a report.

If a ViewApp containing a Power BI App is launched without Internet or network connectivity, the Power BI report attempts to connect for several seconds and then throws an error. The error is logged and shows an visual cue to the user. When connectivity is restored, the Power BI report does not automatically load. The ViewApp must be restarted or the Power BI App must be reloaded to show a report.
