Note: In prior versions of Application Server, historization of alarms and events was configured through the Alarm DB Logger Manager (an InTouch component) and utilized the SQL database "WWALMDB." The method described here replaces the Alarm DB Logger method.
To configure alarm and event mapping
-
From the ribbon, select Galaxy, then select Configure.
-
Select Galaxy, then select Alarms.
The Alarms page appears.
-
Configure alarms:
-
Edit the priority range for each severity level, or accept the default values.
-
Accept the default (enabled) historization or select to clear the check box and disable historization for severity levels 1 through 4. Severity level 5 alarms, if configured, are automatically enabled for historization and shelving, and these settings cannot be overriden.
-
-
Configure events: Accept the default historization values, or select to clear the check box and disable historization for each event type.
If you want to change the default Alarm Border indicator images shown in the Alarms and Events Configuration dialog, see "Changing Alarm Border Indicator Icons" in the Creating and Managing Industrial Graphics User Guide.
