Copy and paste content from a PDF document

Users can copy selected text or graphics from an open PDF document and paste it into another open application like WordPad or Word.
Important: Graphics and text from a PDF document must be copied separately.
To copy a graphic from a PDF document

Open an application like Word or WordPad to paste content from the PDF document open in the PDFViewerApp.

Select the graphic that you want to copy from the PDF document.
Blue highlighting appears around the graphic to indicate that it is selected.

Select the Copy control from the PDFViewerApp.

Select the location in the open application where you want to place the graphic.

Press Ctrl + V to paste the graphic into the open application.
To copy text from a PDF document

Select the text to be copy.
The selected text appears with blue highlighting to indicate that it has been selected.

Select the Copy icon above the open page or press the Ctrl + C.

In the application to copy the text to, place the insertion point where you want to insert the text. Press Ctrl + V to paste the text.
