Configure the Industrial AI Assistant (Open Beta - Preview)

Important: Industrial AI Assistant is now available upon request for all CONNECT visualization customers. Watch the release notes for an announcement of its general availability.

Industrial AI Assistant is a digital chat assistant that is included with CONNECT visualization. It helps users find relevant information in response to questions and requests (see Chat with the Industrial AI Assistant).

Administrators can configure the Industrial AI Assistant by following the steps below.

1. In CONNECT visualization, select Configure from the navigation rail and then select Industrial AI Assistant.

2. Make the required selections on the Industrial AI Assistant Settings page.

   1. Enable Industrial AI Assistant allows users to access the Industrial AI Assistant.

   2. Enable data sources allows the Industrial AI Assistant to access data of the selected types. The options include:

      • Asset efficiency events - provides access to equipment utilization and material production information, as well as shift and job events from the AVEVA Manufacturing Execution System.

      • Data streams - allows access to the summary values for streams and stream references from the AVEVA Data Services platform.

      • Engineering information - allows access to engineering documents and equipment tags from the AVEVA Information Management System Advanced (AIM-A).

3. Click the Save button to apply your changes.
