December 2025 release 2
New features and enhancements
The following enhancements are introduced in this release:
-
Industrial AI Assistant: The following enhancements are now available:
-
Engineering Content - Users can search across all engineering entity types and relationships. Content search has been improved within documents.
-
Asset Queries - Users can request lists of assets (and their associated streams and properties), based on a specified criteria. Lists can be downloaded.
-
-
Dynamic column adjustment for grid visualizations: When the page width changes, grid visualizations change the number of columns displayed more smoothly and dynamically. Depending on the width of the page, they display content in six, three, two, or one columns.
Previously grid visualizations could only switch between six columns and one column.
For details, see Create a new visualization.
-
Gauge and Card content items enhancement: The Gauge and Card content items in the Event Visualization category now include a toggle button called Normal state above target. This toggle controls how the system interprets target thresholds for color display, determining when green or red appears in the visualization.
December 2025 release 1
New features and enhancements
The following enhancements are introduced in this release:
-
Embedded visualization enhancements: The following enhancements are introduced for visualizations that are added to experiences or other visualizations:
-
Persistent context integration: Embedded visualizations used in other visualizations or experiences now fully support time context and asset context. This allows for fast, seamless embedding of visualizations for easier and more flexible content creation. For details about adding a visualization to a pane in an experience, see Add content to panes in your navigation items. For details about creating and adding content to a visualization, see Create a new visualization.
-
Interactive embedded content: Engage directly with content in visualizations embedded in experiences or other visualizations, whether you’re viewing or designing. In the experience designer, interaction is supported for grid visualizations (canvas visualizations remain view-only). For details on interacting with content, see Interact with content in visualizations and experiences.
These changes mean that embedded visualizations are now fully supported with rich features that persist wherever they’re embedded. This allows you more options than ever to quickly and easily realize your experiences and visualizations.
Note: Adding a canvas visualization to a grid visualization is supported. Other combinations of visualizations are not supported for embedding.
-
-
Hyperlinks for text in canvas visualizations: You can now add hyperlinks to text created with the text tool in canvas visualizations. For details, see Canvas visualization tools and properties.
-
Save queries in the query builder: You can now save, load, and manage queries in the query builder.
-
Multi state graphic: The discrete status graphic has been updated to the Multi state graphic. This can now symbolize up to 8 distinct states. You can select from text styles, shapes, or indicators to visualize and communicate states.
This graphic continues to support discrete states when configured with a value type of Expression or Discrete.
-
Specific graphic names display in grid visualizations: When you add a graphic to a grid visualization, its specific name is displayed as the title of the card. Previously "Industrial Graphic" displayed as the card title for every graphic.
-
Data point limit: There is now a limit of 30 data points per visualization to maintain performance and ensure consistent, responsive rendering.
-
Industrial AI Assistant window doesn't auto close: The Industrial AI Assistant pane now remains open until you close it. This prevents unexpected auto-closing.
For details on using Industrial AI Assistant, see Chat with Industrial AI Assistant (Open Beta - Preview).
-
Canvas visualization thumbnail shows content items: The thumbnail that displays for saved canvas visualizations now includes content items that are added to that visualization. Previously only graphics added to the visualization would display in the thumbnail.
Resolved issues
The following issues are fixed in this release:
-
Case - 962610941 (Defect - 4311742) - Couldn't remove canvas visualizations from a grid visualization: When a canvas visualization was added to a grid visualization, the button to delete it from the visualization didn't function.
-
Case - 962623962 (Defect - 4328539) - Deselecting "Show card" for embedded grid visualization pane in experience caused error: When a grid visualization was added to an experience, if Show card was unselected, an error occurred and the visualization was replaced with a gray "loading" state.
Known issues
The following are known issues in this release:
-
Issues with embedded visualizations in experiences: The following issues occur with visualizations that are added to experiences:
-
If a visualization doesn't follow the experience's asset and time context, and you select a custom asset context and time context while viewing the experience, then remove the asset context, both the asset context and time context revert to the saved values for the visualization. Only the asset context should revert to the saved value; the time context should not be affected by changes to the asset context.
-
The "View full screen" button appears for content in visualizations embedded in experiences. This feature doesn't work correctly and the button will be removed in the future.
-
If you select content in a grid visualization, the entire grid visualization will appear to be selected. Ignore this.
-
When a visualization can no longer display in an experience because it has been deleted or made private, its context menu still appears.
-
When viewing an experience, if you select content inside a visualization, then try to select a visualization in another pane, the visualization is not selected. As a workaround, select any area of the experience that isn't a visualization, then select the visualization.

Known issues
The following are known issues in this release:
-
The column chart and data grid content items in the Visualization category may take a significant amount of time to process data. This may result in a timeout error if it takes longer than several minutes. This is more likely to occur when representing data over a long period of time and with a high frequency of stored data. Solutions to this issue are being investigated.
-
Graphics with a Statistic property configured to any value other than Current do not display data in grid visualizations.
-
When editing a content item with stream data, the streams can no longer be expanded to show metadata in the properties pane. This is planned to be resolved in a future release.
-
For content items that show stream data, if the shared asset context is not used, an asset can still be configured. This property does not function correctly and should be ignored. It will be removed in a future release.
