The client credentials for the CONNECT visualization solution are used for synchronizing the configuration data between CONNECT data services and CONNECT visualization.

Client credentials are generated when a CONNECT data services data source is added. If the client secret is changed or accidentally deleted in CONNECT data services, the secret must be manually updated in CONNECT visualization. For details see CONNECT data services clients.

Important: To create and update the client secret, you must be a member of the tenant administrator group in CONNECT data services.

To update the client secret

  1. In CONNECT visualization, select Configure from the navigation rail, and then select Data sources.

  2. Select the Manage Client Secret icon Manage client secret icon .

  3. Enter the new client secret from CONNECT data services.

  4. Select Save.
