Use this content item to display different types of key performance indicators (KPI) for a single asset.

Configure the following properties for this content item:

  • In the Basic tab:

    • Follow asset context - When this is enabled:

    • Asset - If Follow asset context is disabled, select the asset to display in this content item. The selected asset must track equipment performance.

You can search for assets by name, by filter, or both.

      • To search by asset name, enter a value in the Asset field.

      • To apply filters, select the Asset field, then select Filter icon to view and select filters. Select Back icon to accept your selected filters and return to the previous search panel.

      • Select an asset from the search results to add it.

    • Follow time context - When this is enabled:

      • If this content is in a visualization, it uses the visualization's time context as the time range for the data it displays. For details, see Create a new visualization.

      • If this content is in an experience, it uses the time selected in the time selector content item as the time range for the data it displays. For details, see Add a time selector.

    • Time - If Follow time context is disabled, select the time range for the data displayed in the content item.

  • In the Advanced tab:

    • Title - The title that displays for this content item. This property is only available in grid visualizations; content items do not display titles in canvas visualizations or experiences.

    • KPI Types - The type of KPI that displays for this content item. Select from:

      • OEE - The OEE KPI-related data. If you select this type, you can select OEE, Availability, Performance, or Quality as the KPI component.

      • Downtime - The asset’s utilization downtime, measured by total occurrences, total duration, or the number of events associated with a pending reason. If you select this type, you can select Count, Duration, or Pending Reason as the KPI component.

      • Maintenance - The Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) or Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) value displayed in hh:mm:ss format. If you select this type, you can select MTTR or MTBF as the KPI component.

      • Material Produced - The record data related to production of materials that are part of a production process. If you select this type, you can select Good, Bad, or All as the KPI component.

Note: The system aggregates converted quantityProduced and quantityWasted data using the asset's unit of measure (UoM) for each hourly bucket in the job’s hourly response. It uses these values to calculate the number to display for the selected KPI component, along with the asset's UoM. This content item applies the same UoM conversion logic as the Utilization & Production trend. For more UoM conversion information, refer to Utilization & Production trend.

    • KPIs - The KPI component that displays for this content item associated with the KPI type you select. The options you see for this property depend on the selected KPI type.

    • OEE KPI Target Value - The target value for the selected KPI. This property appears only when you set the KPI type to OEE. By default, it uses the value defined in the MES asset-level hierarchy, but you can modify it. It accepts numeric values greater than 0 and up to 100, including decimals.

Note: If the target value or the KPI type value exceeds its display limit, the content item shows an ellipsis after the last visible character. To view the full value, hover over the displayed value to open a tooltip.

The content item indicates performance based on the KPI type value through the OEE KPI status icon:

      • Green: The KPI type value is greater than the target value.

      • Yellow: The KPI type value is within 10 percentage points of the target value.

      • Red: The KPI type value is less than the target value.
