Enable Asset Information Management Advanced (AIM-A) Integration

Before using AIM-A functionality in CONNECT visualization, you must enable the integration through CONNECT. To manage integrations, you need to be a CONNECT Account Administrator.

Prior to attempting these steps, ensure that AIM-A and CONNECT visualization are configured and operational.

Integration does not require that these services reside in the same folder on CONNECT, as you will be able to integrate an AIM-A service from any folder you have access to.

You should also ensure that proper access to the solution that you are integrating is granted to AIM-A users. At a minimum, any CONNECT visualization users should be members of the Default User role of the AIM-A solution. For more information on role management in AIM-A, see Manage Roles.

Note that only one AIM-A integration can be enabled per CONNECT visualization solution.

Integrate AIM-A and CONNECT visualization

Integrate AIM-A and CONNECT visualization through CONNECT.

  1. From the CONNECT home page, select the menu icon Menu icon, and then select Folder Management.

  2. Select the folder containing the CONNECT visualization solution that you want to integrate with AIM-A.

  3. Under Services, ensure that Visualization is enabled.

  4. Select the folder containing the AIM-A solution that you want to integrate.

  5. Under Services, ensure that Asset Information Management Advanced is enabled.

  6. On the Visualization card, select the more actions icon Actions icon, then select Manage integrations.

  7. Select the Asset Information Management Advanced service from the appropriate folder.

  8. Select Close to complete the integration.
