Rectangle graphic

The rectangle graphic evaluates a data point in a mathematical expression and then indicates true or false results using rectangles and lines in different colors. You can customize the the colors, transparency, line weight, and the shape's fill.

Examples

The following rectangle graphic has its LineColor property set to DarkBlue, its Fill property disabled, and its CornerRadius property set to 0.

The following rectangle graphic has its FillColor property set to Turquoise, its LineColor property set to YellowBrown, its Fill property enabled, and its CornerRadius property set to 40.

Configure the graphic

Configure the following properties for this graphic:

  • Follow asset context - The asset context affects properties that are configured to display asset stream ref data and asset metadata. When this is enabled:

  • Follow time context - When this is enabled:

    • If this content is in a visualization, it uses the visualization's time context as the time range for the data it displays. For details, see Create a new visualization.

    • If this content is in an experience, it uses the time selected in the time selector content item as the time range for the data it displays. For details, see Add a time selector.

  • Time - If Follow time context is disabled, select the time range for the data displayed in the content item.

  • In the Options section:

    • Expression - The mathematical operator for the expression that determines the graphic's state.

    • FillColor - The color that fills the rectangle when the expression is none or false.

This is available when Fill is enabled.

    • TrueFillColor - The color used to fill in the rectangle when the expression is true.

    • LineColor - The color used to outline the rectangle when the expression is none or false.

    • TrueLineColor - The color used to outline the rectangle when the expression is true.

    • Fill - Enables fill color for the graphic.

  • In the Graphic Properties section:

    • DataPoint - The data point or value to use in the mathematical expression.

To select a data stream, select the field and then select the pencil icon. In the DataPoint window, select Streams. In the Search window, use the filters to find and then select the stream, asset stream reference, or asset metadata.

    • ColorTransparency - The transparency of the fill color, from 0 to 100.

This is available when Fill is enabled.

    • CornerRadius - The curvature of the corners of the rectangle.

Set the corner radius value from 0 to 85.

    • CutOffValue - The static value against which the mathematical expression is evaluated.

For example, if CutOffValue is 5 and Expression is GreaterThan, then the evaluated mathematical expression is DataPointNumber > 5.

    • LineWeight - The thickness of the rectangle's outline, from 0 to 8.

  • In the Advanced tab:

    • Title - The title displayed for this content item in the grid visualization.

This is not available in a canvas visualization or experience. Set this value in the Title property in the Graphic Properties section.
