  • Last UpdatedAug 05, 2026
  • 10 minute read

These release notes describe enhancements to CONNECT visualization and include resolved and known issues where applicable.

Note: Resolved issues included here are the highest priority issues reported by customers, not a complete list of bug fixes.

August 2026 release 1

New features and enhancements

  • Missing Data Indicators in Line Charts: Line charts in the Visualization content category now use an alternate line style to represent missing data. For periods when there is a null value, or when no newer data exists after the last valid value, the chart appears in a different line style. On hover over, the tooltip for the period shows the last known valid value and timestamp. This makes it easier to distinguish actual measurements from missing data.

  • Tooltip when hovering over objects in 3D viewer: A tooltip now appears when you hover over an object in the 3D Viewer content item. The tooltip shows the name and tag of the object.

July 2026 release 3

New features and enhancements

  • Viewpoints in 3D Viewer: You can now create viewpoints in the 3D Viewer. A viewpoint allows you to create a saved view of a 3D model. Viewpoints can be private or shared, and can be set as the default view for the 3D model.

For details, see Create or select a viewpoint.

Resolved issues

  • Case – 962866097 – (Defect - 4888894) - Text symbols with hyperlinks were not underlined and did not show a tooltip when hovered over: In certain conditions, hyperlinks in text symbols on canvas visualizations were not underlined and did not show a tooltip with the URL on hover over.

July 2026 release 2

New features and enhancements

  • Custom color input for data points: You can now enter hex, RGBA, or HSLA color values when adding data to visualization content items, making it easier to define colors that align with your design standards. Previously, only predefined colors from the color chart were available.

  • Document Viewer supports multiple renditions: You can now view and download individual renditions of a document, such as alternate file formats or variations. For details, see Interact with Document Viewer.

  • Asset context appears on map: The asset selected in the asset context now appears as a marker on the map content item. The marker appearance and info card are customizable. For details, see Map.

Resolved issues

  • Case - 962834584 (Defect - 4789951) - Fixed missing data streams issue: Resolved an issue where some data streams were not appearing after synchronization due to a case-sensitive type matching error.

  • Case - 962847211 (Defect - 4854801) - Fixed timestamp issue: Resolved an issue where graphics with the Statistics option set to Current displayed values with future timestamps instead of the present-time value during live updates.

  • Case - 962856128 (Defect - 4878235) - Fixed content rendering issue: Resolved an issue where some content items in an experience occasionally failed to render when switching between assets in the navigation tree.

  • Case - 962858148 (Defect - 4849742) - Fixed missing scroll bar: Resolved an issue where the Properties content item in a canvas visualization did not display a scroll bar, preventing all properties from being visible.

  • Case - N/A (Defect - 4594597) - Fixed graphics data error: Resolved an issue where graphics that use asset stream references or asset metadata displayed incorrect or null values when the asset name contained a period (.). For example, Demo.AssetType.

May 2026 release 1

New features and enhancements

Resolved issues

  • Case - 962801420 (Defect - 4713428) - Cannot configure properties of added graphics when a custom property name contains an underscore (_): After adding an industrial graphic into a canvas visualization, you couldn’t configure the graphic’s properties (for example, its visibility), when a custom property name contained an underscore (_).

April 2026 release 2

New features and enhancements

  • Add custom graphics to canvas visualizations: Place industrial graphics created in AVEVA System Platform using the IDE Industrial Graphic Editor onto a canvas visualization. You can now create custom, dynamic, and responsive graphics for use in CONNECT.

For details, see Add a graphic from a file to a canvas visualization.

  • Enhanced column management in Query builder: You now have greater control over how Attributes and Related Items appear in your Query builder results, making it easier to customize your results for review, navigation, and sharing. While you could already include both Attributes and Related Items in your query criteria, the enhanced Manage Columns pane now lets you do the following:

    • Add columns from Related Items to the results grid.

    • Nest columns from Related Items under a parent related item column to reflect their relationships more clearly.

    • Rename column headers for both Attributes and Related Items using meaningful labels.

    • View supported Related Item values as hyperlinks that open their details directly from the results grid. Choose whether those hyperlinks appear only on screen or are included in exported results.

Note: Editing a Related Item in the Query builder clears previously configured hyperlink settings for its nested related items. After editing a Related Item, re-enable the hyperlink setting for each affected nested related item before using the query.

For details, see Query builder for AIM data.

April 2026 release 1

New features and enhancements

  • Duplicate content in canvas visualizations: You can now quickly create a copy of content in canvas visualizations at design time using the Duplicate option, making it easier to reuse content items, graphics, and embedded visualizations without rebuilding them. See Create a new visualization.

When using the Duplicate option to copy content in canvas visualizations, asset stream reference data is not automatically populated in duplicated graphics. In addition, confirmation messages are not displayed after the content is successfully copied.

Resolved issues

  • Case N/A (Defect - 4529241) - Experience navigation fails when asset hierarchy is not yet loaded: When selecting an asset on the map content item, the corresponding asset in the navigation tree was not highlighted if the tree was collapsed. The selection appeared only after expanding the navigation, resulting in inconsistent navigation behavior.

March 2026 release 2

New features and enhancements

  • KPI Card graphic character limit removed: The KPI card graphic now supports longer text values. The previous 20-character limit has been removed. In canvas visualizations, text extends beyond the graphic boundary. In a grid visualization or experience, text values are truncated at the border of the content item. For information about the graphic, see KPI card graphic.

Resolved issues

  • Case 962739537 (Defect - 4564536) - Data Grid content item handling the end time inconsistently: When a fixed time range was applied, the Data Grid widget inconsistently included or excluded the selected end time, resulting in different numbers of rows for the same time range and interval.

  • Case 962739537 (Defect - 4561084) - Graphics with Statistics = Last may not update: KPI cards and other graphics configured with Statistics = Last could fail to refresh the data and display outdated or inconsistent values.
