These release notes describe enhancements to CONNECT visualization and include resolved and known issues where applicable.

Note: Resolved issues included here are the highest priority issues reported by customers, not a complete list of bug fixes.

March 2026 release 1

New features and enhancements

  • Production Progress content item (preview): The Asset Efficiency content category now includes the Production Progress content item. This content item visually represents the progress of a production run for a selected asset.

This feature is available as a preview to a limited set of customers. For more information about this feature and its availability, contact your sales representative, and watch the release notes for an announcement of its general availability.

  • Save canvas visualizations to asset types: If a canvas visualization is linked to an asset, and the asset is linked to an asset type, you can now select Save to asset type and all its instances when you save it. This saves the visualization to all assets that are linked to the same asset type. For details, see Save a visualization.

Resolved issues

  • Case - 962740987 (Defect - 4539951) - Canvas visualizations didn't show on custom home page: If the home page was customized to show a canvas visualization, the home page would be blank.

Announcements

  • As part of the ongoing effort to revise functionality based on customer feedback, the following legacy items that are reliant on older functionality are no longer available:

    • Standalone content items. The ability to create standalone content items was removed in the February 2025 release.

    • Graphics added prior to the May 2025 release. These were replaced with an updated library of graphics.

    • Canvas visualizations created prior to the August 2025 release. This canvas was replaced with a revised canvas in August 2025.

These items are no longer available in CONNECT visualization. If there are items that you need to recover, please contact customer support for assistance.

February 2026 release 2

New features and enhancements

  • Enhanced configuration options for Map content item: The Map content item has been significantly improved, introducing new configuration options, a more intuitive setup experience, and richer runtime controls. These enhancements make it easier for creators to configure map behavior and provide viewers with more flexibility when interacting with geospatial content.

    • Basemaps: You can now enable multiple basemaps. Viewers can switch between the enabled basemaps.

    • Overlays: You can now configure the default visibility for overlay layers.

    • Options in toolbar: Enabled map options now appear in the viewer toolbar, keeping the map clean while giving viewers quick access to controls.

    • Layer and marker customization user interface: Improved user interface for configuring layer settings and the appearance of map markers.

    • Marker Labels: New options allow you to define labels for map markers.

      For details, see Map.

February 2026 release 1

New features and enhancements

  • Add images to canvas visualizations: Images can now be added to canvas visualizations. Once added, they can be freely arranged within the visualization. For details, see Canvas visualization tools and properties.

  • Improved icon library and selection for experience navigation items: The icon library is expanded for navigation items in experiences. Icons are now selected from a dialog that includes images for each icon, replacing the previous method of manually entering the icon name. For details, see the Configure navigation item properties section in Add and manage navigation items.

  • Industrial AI Assistant supports user-defined filters: Industrial AI Assistant can now filter operational asset lists based on specified conditions. For example, it will now provide filtered results for the request "give me a list of all turbines where the minimum energy production for the last week is less than 2 MW".

Resolved issues

  • Case - 962669729 (Defect - 4412294) - Values shown in graphics did not update when time context changed: The data shown in graphics didn't refresh when the visualization time context changed.

Announcements

  • As part of the ongoing effort to revise functionality based on customer feedback, some older functionality will no longer be supported starting in March 2026. At that time, the following items will no longer be available:

    • Standalone content items. The ability to create standalone content items was removed in the February 2025 release. Replace these with visualizations.

    • Graphics added prior to the May 2025 release. These were replaced with an updated library of graphics. See the May 2025 release notes for a list of which updated graphics replace the old graphics.

    • Canvas visualizations created prior to the August 2025 release. The canvas has been replaced with a revised canvas in this release.

On the browse visualizations page, use the Deprecated button to identify standalone content items and deprecated canvas visualizations.

These items will continue to be viewable in CONNECT visualization until March 2026. You should re-create any existing items that are still in use before then.

January 2026

New features and enhancements

  • Create duplicates of content in grid visualizations: Content items and graphics can now be duplicated in grid visualizations. This is available in the actions menu for the content item or graphic.

  • Unselect All option for 3D Viewer and Document Viewer: The Actions menu for the 3D Viewer and Document Viewer now includes an Unselect All option. This unselects all selections in the viewer.

  • Reorder data for content items in the Visualization category: You can now reorder data items for content items in the Visualization content category. Select and drag an item to move it.

Resolved issues

  • Case - 962629202 (Defect - 4335796) - Removing and re-adding data sources could result in the loss of saved visualizations: When data sources were removed and re-added, all saved visualizations could be deleted. This was due to the handling of orphaned content.

  • Case - 962623962 (Defect - 4390505) - In the summary chart, sorting by A–Z produced an incorrect order when the stream names have been manually edited: Sorting alphabetically in the summary chart didn't work correctly for stream names that had been manually edited. Streams now sort alphabetically by their edited name.
