Trend graphic

Use the trend graphic to plot up to four data points and track multiple data streams.
The following trend graphic has its NumberOfItems property set to Four, ShowTitleAs property set to Hide, and its ShowAxis property enabled.

Configure the graphic
Configure the following properties for this graphic:

Follow asset context - The asset context affects properties that are configured to display asset stream ref data and asset metadata. When this is enabled:

If this content is in a visualization, it uses the visualization's asset context. For details, see Create a new visualization.

If this content is in an experience, it uses the navigation item's asset reference. For details, see the Add content to a pane section in Add content to panes in your navigation items.

Follow time context - When this is enabled:
-
If this content is in a visualization, it uses the visualization's time context as the time range for the data it displays. For details, see Create a new visualization.

If this content is in an experience, it uses the time selected in the time selector content item as the time range for the data it displays. For details, see Add a time selector.

Time - If Follow time context is disabled, select the time range for the data displayed in the content item.

In the Options section:
-
Type - The type of chart.
This determines the available properties.
-
NumberOfItems - The number of data points to display.
This changes the number of certain properties available. This is available when Type is Line.

Statistics - The retrieval mode for the graphic.
Configure the DataPointReference, StartTime, and DataPointDuration properties. This is available when Type is Column.

Color1-4 - The color for each data point.
The number of color properties available is determined by the Type and NumberOfItems.

ShowTitleAs - Enables the Title property in the Graphic Properties area to set the graphic title and sets the font size.
Title is a larger font. Subtitle is a smaller font.

ShowTimeProperties - Enables the DataPointDuration property.
This is available when Type is Column.

ShowAxis - Enables the axes on the graphic.

ShowUOM - Enables units of measure for the y-axis, if ShowAxis is enabled.
Set the UOM property in the Graphic Properties section.

MultipleUOM - Enables a separate unit of measure for each data point, if ShowUOM is enabled.
If enabled, set the UOM, Max, and Min properties for each data point. This is not available when Type is Column.

Limits - Enables limits for the graphic.
If enabled, the HiHiLimit, HiLimit, LoLimit, LoLoLimit, and TargetLimit properties are available. This is available when Type is Column.

HiHiLimit - Enables the high alert limit for the graphic.
This is available when Type is Column and Limits is enabled. If enabled, the HiHiLimit property in the Graphic Properties section is available.

HiLimit - Enables the high warning limit for the graphic.
This is available when Type is Column and Limits is enabled. If enabled, the HiLimit property in the Graphic Properties section is available.

LoLimit - Enables the low warning limit for the graphic.
This is available when Type is Column and Limits is enabled. If enabled, the LoLimit property in the Graphic Properties section is available.

LoLoLimit - Enables the low alert limit for the graphic.
This is available when Type is Column and Limits is enabled. If enabled, the LoLoLimit property in the Graphic Properties section is available.

Target - Enables the target value for the graphic.

This is available when Type is Column and Limits is enabled. If enabled, the Target property in the Graphic Properties section is available.

ShowAxisNames - Enables labels for the axes on the graphic, if ShowAxis is enabled.
Set the YAxisName1-4 and properties in the Graphic Properties section.

ShowLegends - Enables legends for the data sets.
If enabled, set the Legend property for each data point. Not available when Type is Column.

ShowCard - Displays a colored background behind the graphic.

In the Graphic Properties section:
-
DataPoint1-4 - The data point or value for each bar on the graphic, starting from the center.
This is available when Statistics is Current and Simulation is disabled. The number of properties available is based on the Type and NumberOfItems selected.
To select a data stream, select the field and then select the pencil icon. In the DataPoint window, select Streams. In the Search window, use the filters to find and then select the stream, asset stream reference, or asset metadata to display.

DataPointDuration - The period, in minutes, used when calculating statistics.
This is available when Type is Column and ShowTimeProperties is enabled. This can't be zero, but it can be negative when a StartTime is specified.

Decimals - The number of decimal places for the data point value, up to 2.
Invalid values are discarded.

HiHiLimit - The value above which a high alert color appears on the graphic.
This is available when Type is Column and HiHiLimit is enabled.

HiLimit - The value above which a high warning color appears on the graphic.
This is available when Type is Column and HiLimit is enabled.

LoLimit - The value below which the low warning color appears on the graphic.
This is available when Type is Column and LoLimit is enabled.

LoLoLimit - The value below which a low alert color appears on the graphic.
This is available when Type is Column and LoLoLimit is enabled.

Legend1-4 - The legend text shown for each data point, up to 10 characters.
This is available when ShowLegends is enabled.

Max - The highest value for the graphic.
Default is 100. This value must be greater than the Min value. When MultipleUOM is enabled, set the highest value for each data point, Max1-4. The maximum value for each data point must be greater than the corresponding Min1-4 value.

Min - The lowest value for the graphic.
Default is 0. This value must be less than the Max value. When MultipleUOM is enabled, set the lowest value for each data point, Min1-4. The minimum value for each data point must be less than the corresponding Max1-4 value.

ShowLimitSymbol - Indicates the limit values on the graphic.
This is available when Type is Column and Limits are enabled.

StartTime - The start time for use with statistics.
This is available when Type is Column and ShowTimeProperties is enabled. If no value is specified, auto refresh is applied. The start and end times of the summary period are determined based on current time.

TargetLimit - The target value for the data points.
This is available when Type is Column and at least one limit is enabled.

Title - The title text for the graphic.
This is only available when ShowTitleAs is Title or Subtitle.

UOM - The unit of measure text used in legends, up to five characters.
This is available when ShowValues and ShowUOM are enabled. When MultipleUOM is enabled, set the unit of measure text for each data point, UOM1-5.

YAxisName - The text for the y-axis.
This is available when ShowAxisNames is enabled. When MultipleUOM is enabled, set the axis name text for each data point, YAxisName1-4.

In the Advanced tab:

Title - The title displayed for this content item in the grid visualization.
This is not available in a canvas visualization or experience. Set this value in the Title property in the Graphic Properties section.
