AVEVA™ Information Standards Manager

Manage the Catalogue

The Catalogue area stages folders that contain Compositions and Standards. There are four folders available out of the box. But, you can create a root folder, if required.

As part of the standard installation of AVEVA Information Standards Manager, the following four folders are available:

  • Frequently Used: Shortcuts for those Standards that you use frequently are displayed here. To perform tasks on a Standard, right-click it within its parent folder, and not within the Frequently Used folder.

  • Undesignated: Standards that currently do not have any accessibility shortcuts are placed in this folder and are visible to all users if they have required permissions. For information, see Permissions for Descendants.

  • Personal: Content is only visible to other users if they have permissions. You can delete a Standard placed within this folder, unless you have assigned permissions for other users to view and edit that Standard. If you have tagged a Standard in the Personal folder, and permitted other users to access or use the Standard, you cannot delete it even if you have the Creator Role.

  • Public: Shared by all users. All Standards in the Public folder, irrespective of the underlying access permissions, are visible to all users.

In addition to the default folders that are mentioned above, you can create a new folder and drag the required Standard into it to assign access permissions.

To add a root folder:

  1. Right-click the empty area, and select Add Root Folder.

  2. Enter a name for the folder and click Add.
