Manage Validation Rules

To manage validation rules:

1. Click the Details button () on Catalogue and switch to the Class Library Policy Configuration tab. You can use this tab to view and set the validation rules. This is the default setting and helps preserve data integrity of the Standard.

2. Click Validation Rules to display a categorized list of rules for validation:

   

   Note: Only those rules that validate for warnings and suggestions can be modified. The values in the dropdown are hard-coded. Except for the user with read-only privileges, all users can modify the validation rules by selecting the required values from the dropdown.

3. Optionally, select the Compact View check box to display validation rules in a summarized format.

4. Expand a rule to view its underlying components. Select the required severity of validation from the dropdown.

5. Click Close.

   The validation rules are now defined.

   Note: Click the Restore to factory settings to restore the validation to the default setting.
