Protection Against Banner Grabbing

Banner grabbing is used to gain information or access to any remote systems running on a network and their services that may run on open ports. To protect against this attack, it is recommended that you perform the following operations:

• Remove version headers from IIS

• Remove 'X-Powered-By' header from IIS
