Configure Permissible Grid Reports

This section describes how to configure and export a Permissible Grid report output from AVEVA Information Standards Manager.

A Permissible Grid forms a matrix of Classes (vertically) and Attributes (horizontally), with the intersection providing characteristics of their associations. The following is a sample screenshot of the output in Microsoft Excel format:

The Permissible Grid report can be configured in two ways:

  • Via the user interface

  • Via XML

The most common permissible grid report configuration options are available in the user interface. For a broader range of configuration options XML can be used.

Configuration Instance

An entry in the AVEVA ISM Catalogue, typically referred to as a Class Library. When the entry contains Permissible Grid configuration only (that is, no Attributes, no Classes, no UoMs, an so on.), we refer to it as a Configuration Instance.
