Important: Ensure that the size of the imported file is less than 10 MB. For files larger than 10 MB, reduce the file size using a file compressor tool, such as WinZip, before uploading.

To import a Standard:

  1. Click the Import () button. You can also right-click a folder and select Import from File.

  2. Click Choose File and select the required document.

  3. Select from the options:

  • Import as a new Standard: This creates a new Standard in the Personal folder.

  • Merge into the Active Standard: Ensure that the Standard is locked for editing before selecting this option.

  • Merge into the copy of the active Standard

    1. Click the Save As () button.

    2. Create a new ID for your Standard and optionally enter a name and description in the respective fields.

Note: If the Name field is left blank, ID is displayed instead of Name in the user interface.

    3. Click Save As.

    4. Click the Lock for Editing () button to lock the Standard to make changes.

Note: You must have the Creator Role to create or import a Standard. If you have the Author Role, you can only edit an existing standard. For information, see User Roles.

    5. After you have completed the changes, click the Validate () button to accept the changes and to validate the Standard. For information, see Validating Standards.

    6. Click either the Unlock and Save Changes () button to commit the changes and unlock the Standard to make it available to everyone for use or click the Unlock and Discard Changes () button to discard the changes. Optionally, tag a release.
