Import Standards

Important: Ensure that the size of the imported file is less than 10 MB. For files larger than 10 MB, reduce the file size using a file compressor tool, such as WinZip, before uploading.
To import a Standard:

Click the Import (
) button. You can also right-click a folder and select Import from File.

Click Choose File and select the required document.

Select from the options:

Import as a new Standard: This creates a new Standard in the Personal folder.

Merge into the Active Standard: Ensure that the Standard is locked for editing before selecting this option.

Merge into the copy of the active Standard

Click the Save As (
) button.

Create a new ID for your Standard and optionally enter a name and description in the respective fields.
Note: If the Name field is left blank, ID is displayed instead of Name in the user interface.

Click Save As.

Click the Lock for Editing (
) button to lock the Standard to make changes.
Note: You must have the Creator Role to create or import a Standard. If you have the Author Role, you can only edit an existing standard. For information, see User Roles.

After you have completed the changes, click the Validate (
) button to accept the changes and to validate the Standard. For information, see Validating Standards.

Click either the Unlock and Save Changes (
) button to commit the changes and unlock the Standard to make it available to everyone
for use or click the Unlock and Discard Changes (
) button to discard the changes. Optionally, tag a release.
