The following tables detail the minimum and recommended hardware and software requirements for installing and running AVEVA Information Standards Manager (ISM) on the web server:

A Security Token Service (STS), or |
For Claim Based Authentication use STS configured with required claims, for example: Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS). For Windows Authentication, use AD, for example, Microsoft AD. Ensure that Windows Authentication feature is turned on when using Microsoft AD. |

It is recommended that you install the following applications on a separate server to that of AVEVA Information Standards Manager:

Notes related to IIS:

Go to Server Manager > All servers > IIS.

Right-click on the server’s name and select Add Roles and Features.

Select Role-based or Feature-based installation under Installation Type.

Expand Server Roles > Web Server (IIS) > Web Server > Security.

Basic Authentication and Windows Authentication should be selected.

Expand Application Development and select all of the options except CGI.
