The following tables detail the minimum and recommended hardware and software requirements for installing and running AVEVA Information Standards Manager (ISM) on the web server:

Authentication

A Security Token Service (STS), or
an Active Directory (AD)

For Claim Based Authentication use STS configured with required claims, for example: Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS). For Windows Authentication, use AD, for example, Microsoft AD. Ensure that Windows Authentication feature is turned on when using Microsoft AD.

AVEVA Software

AVEVA Licensing (4.1)

With a valid license file for AVEVA Information Standards Manager.

It is recommended that you install the following applications on a separate server to that of AVEVA Information Standards Manager:

  • AVEVA Gatekeeper

  • AVEVA Change Manager

    Caution: If you install the applications on the same server, it may result in the failure of an application.

Notes related to IIS:

  1. Go to Server Manager > All servers > IIS.

  2. Right-click on the server’s name and select Add Roles and Features.

  3. Select Role-based or Feature-based installation under Installation Type.

  4. Expand Server Roles > Web Server (IIS) > Web Server > Security.

  5. Basic Authentication and Windows Authentication should be selected.

  6. Expand Application Development and select all of the options except CGI.
