Define Maturity Levels

To create a Maturity Level:

Right-click the Maturity Level folder and select Add Maturity Level.

Enter the required information:

Enter a unique identification for the Maturity Level. This field supports alphanumeric characters, and does not auto-increment.

Enter a name for the identification in this optional field. If you do not input any data, ID is displayed instead of Name in the user interface.

Describe what the Maturity Level contains.

To create the record and continue to create more records, click Add. Alternatively, click Add and Close. This brings you to the Details tab of that Maturity Level.

In the Corresponding Identifiers section on the Details tab, enter a nomenclature map. You can enter more than one nomenclature map. For information, see Implementing Corresponding Identifiers.

In the Properties Specific to Maturity Level section, select a Discipline and Presence. The application displays data for a combination of these fields. For the Presence field, the available options are:

Required: Select this for a mandatory value.

Preferred: Select this if it is good to have a value.

Optional: Select this if the absence of a value does not make a difference.

Enter a value in the Sort Order field. This value represents the order in which the Maturity Levels are listed in a folder in the tree view.
A Maturity Level is created.
Note: To discontinue using a Maturity Level, select the Obsolete check box in the General Properties section on the Details tab.
