Assign Default Attribute Values

Assigning default value on a node ensures that within some consuming application, you can use a value that you have defined using extensions.

To assign an Attribute's default value:

1. Open the required Taxonomy Node and switch to the Default Attribute Values tab.

2. Click the Add () button.

3. In the Add Attribute Default Value window, select the required values in the Attribute, Measure Unit and Value drop-down menus:

   1. Attribute: The list of Attributes is derived based on the Discipline.

   2. Measure Unit: This field is mandatory if the Value field is left blank.

   3. Value: This field is mandatory if the Measure Unit field is left blank.

4. To create the record and continue to create more records, click Add. Alternatively, click Add and Close.
