If you want to add the Galaxy Repository feature after patching a node, use the following procedure, which includes several steps related to Platform Common Services (steps 1 through 5). This procedure only applies if you are adding the Galaxy Repository feature after patching a node. If you are adding something other than the Galaxy Repository feature, refer to Add a new product or feature after patching a node.
Note: You may need your original System Platform 2023 R2 SP1 installation files during this procedure. Be sure the DVD or ISO file is accessible from the node you are adding the Galaxy Repository to.
-
Open the Control Panel and select Programs and Features.
-
Select AVEVA Platform Common Services (PCS) from the list of installed programs, then select Change from the Control Panel ribbon bar.
-
When the AVEVA Platform Common Services Setup Wizard opens, select Next and then select Change in the Setup Wizard.
-
Expand the PCS Service Repository icon.
-
Select Entire feature will be installed on the local hard drive from the dropdown and then select Next.
-
Follow the prompts to complete the "Modify" installation workflow for the PCS Service Repository.
-
Go back to Programs and Features in the Control Panel.
-
Select AVEVA Application Server from the list of programs, then select Uninstall/Change.
-
When the Modify, Repair, or Remove installation window opens, select Modify and then select Next.
-
Select the Galaxy Repository feature under Application Server. Follow the prompts to add the Galaxy Repository feature.
-
After the modify installation is complete, and you have rebooted the node if requested, re-install the System Platform patch on the node. This will add any patches for the newly installed component.
If the patch installation informs you that the patch is already installed, continue with the installation anyway. There is no harm in installing a patch a second time.
