If you want to add a new System Platform feature (product or component) after patching a node, you will need your original System Platform 2023 R2 SP1 installation files. Be sure the DVD or ISO file is accessible from the node to which you are adding the product or feature.
A different procedure with certain prerequisite steps are required if you are adding the Galaxy Repository feature to the node. See Add the Galaxy Repository feature after patching a node for details.
-
Select the Modify option from the System Platform Modify, Repair, or Remove Installation dialog box. You can open the dialog by doing either of the following:
-
Run Setup.exe from the System Platform installation DVD.
-
Navigate to Uninstall or Change a Program in the Windows Control Panel. Then, select any System Platform component and then click the Uninstall/Change button.
Note: The name of the Uninstall/Change option may vary depending on which Windows operating system is installed on your computer.
-
-
Select the applicable System Platform product (for example, AVEVA Application Server) from the list of products, then select Uninstall/Change.
-
When the Modify, Repair, or Remove installation window opens, select Modify and then select Next.
-
Select the applicable component (for example, Galaxy Repository) listed under the System Platform product. Follow the prompts to add the feature.
-
After the modify installation is complete, reboot the node if requested
-
Re-install the patch on the node. This will add any patches for the newly installed feature.
Note: If the patch installation informs you that the patch is already installed, continue with the installation anyway. There is no harm in installing a patch a second time.
