This section lists the Release Notes for each AVEVA Unified Learning release in 2024.

2024.4

New features and enhancements

• CONNECT-related AVEVA Unified Learning documentation: The AVEVA Unified Learning documentation now contains the following CONNECT-related AVEVA Unified Learning sections to assist you with your experience:

  • For all users:

    • AVEVA Flex model overview

    • Common AVEVA Unified Learning billing questions

  • For Trainees:

    • Register to CONNECT for the first time

  • For Administrators:

    • Invite new users to CONNECT

    • Add existing CONNECT users to additional CONNECT-based AVEVA Unified Learning groups

• Additional Activity report information: For all AVEVA Unified Learning accounts, the following columns are now included in the Activity report for each attempted activity:

  • Instructors — The Instructors assigned to the activity.

  • Session title — The activity's custom title named by the owner during scheduling.

  • End time — The time that the course activity was ended by the Instructor.

  • Duration — The total time, in hours, that the activity was running.

  • TPM — For an Instructor-less activity, you can select the TPM link under this column to view the Trainee Performance Monitoring (TPM) Session Summary Report for each attempt.

• Change a completed Instructor-led activity Trainee name: Administrators can now change the displayed Trainee name on a completed Instructor-led scheduled activity to another name that exists in the platform. An example of when they may want to do this change is if a Trainee used a generic email ID as their name for a training activity, that name then needs to be updated to their actual name after the activity is complete. The new Trainee name is displayed in the Activity report.

2024.3

New features and enhancements

• New Instructor-led Operator Training Simulator (OTS) training session grading features: For Instructors, the following features are now available in the Final scores page when you grade an Instructor-led OTS training session:

  • You can now enter an overall grade for the session, as well as an individual grade for each Trainee assigned to the OTS training session.

  • You can now enter an overall comment for the session, as well as a specific comment for each Trainee assigned to the OTS training session. You can also choose to make the comments visible to the Trainees.

• Save selections during Instructor-led OTS training session scheduling: For Instructors, scheduling an Instructor-led OTS training session is now completed on a single page (Advanced form) instead of individual tabs (Wizard form). If you would like to schedule the training session on the Wizard form, please contact the Site Administrator.

  Also, you can save your selections as the default for your next OTS training session scheduling in the following sections:

  • Assign additional Instructors

  • Assign Trainees

  • Set the time zone

  • Set the OTS region

• Update an Instructor-led OTS training session's title and add a description: For Instructors, when you schedule an OTS training session, you can now change its default title and add a description. The session title displays in the Training schedule page, the Instructor-led report page, and under Upcoming events. The session description displays in the invitation email that is sent to the assigned Trainees, Upcoming events, and in the Final scores page. New features and enhancements

• Connect and directly interact with Trainee's active OTS training session: In addition to being able to observe a Trainee's active OTS training session, Instructors now have the ability to directly interact with a Trainee's session if the activity supports it. If the activity supports Instructor interaction, an Allow interaction button is available on the top-left of the session's banner. The Instructor can select this button to turn on the feature. See Interact with a Trainee's active Operator Training Simulator training session for more information.

• Generate Trainee Activity report: The user menu on each AVEVA Unified Learning account now includes an Activity report () icon. You can select this icon to generate a report of the Trainees' OTS and E-learning activities. The information displayed in the Activity report is based on the account type that generates the report:

  • The Trainee Activity report from a Trainee account lists the activities that the Trainee has attempted.

  • The Trainee Activity report from an Instructor account lists the activities attempted by each Trainee in their assigned user groups.

  • The Trainee Activity report from an Administrator account lists the activities attempted by each Trainee that belongs to their organization.

2024.1

New features and enhancements

• Activity link in Instructor-led training session invitation emails: For Instructors and Trainees, the Instructor-led training session invitation emails now include a link to quickly join the activity. If you are not signed into AVEVA Unified Learning, the link directs to you to first sign into your account.

  The following image is an example of an invitation email with a link to join an activity:

  

• Administrator User report: For Administrators, the Administrator dashboard now contains a Total users metric. Administrators can select this metric to display a User report where you can do the following:

  • View user information

  • Remove users from the platform

  • Add users to the platform

• Assign applinks to Trainees during Instructor-led training session scheduling: During Instructor-led OTS training session scheduling, if the session supports applinks, you can now assign one or more applinks to each Trainee. If you decide not to assign an applink to a Trainee, then the Trainee can select an applink when they connect to the session through the Training schedule page. If the session only supports nodes, you can continue to assign a node to each Trainee. See Schedule an Instructor-led OTS training session for more information.

• Manage User Group dialog updates: For Administrators, the Manage User Group dialog for managing user groups now has the following updates:

  • By default, AVEVA Unified Learning now adds each new user to the bottom of their assigned role list.

  • You can re-sort the list of unassigned users as follows:

    • Alphabetical – Ascending

    • Alphabetical – Descending

    • Datetime – Ascending

    • Datetime – Descending

• Product version release notifications: When an AVEVA Unified Learning product version is released, a notification is now sent to all Administrators as follows:

  • Administrators receive a notification in their AVEVA Unified Learning account under the Toggle notifications menu. The notification contains a link to the version's release notes.

  • Administrators receive an additional email notification.

• Schedule icon no longer displayed for courses that are not Instructor-led: In the Instructor dashboard, courses that do not support pre-scheduling Instructor-led session training will no longer have a Schedule () icon next to their entries.
