Connect to a Trainee's Extended Reality session in the OTS Instructor dashboard

As an Instructor, you can access a Trainee's Extended Reality (XR) session through a link in the Operator Training Simulator (OTS) Instructor dashboard. This allows you to enter the course and interact with the session to conduct Instructor-led training.

You can access a Trainee's XR session through a link in the OTS Instructor dashboard.

Connect to a Trainee's XR session

1. In the Dashboard, select My courses, and then select the course you would like to connect to for a session.

   A page opens and displays the various exercises in the course.

   A green status indicator displays when an XR session is in progress.

   

2. Select Show active XR sessions.

   The area expands and shows the users that are currently in the course.

   If an additional Trainee logs into a session while you are looking at the table, the table does not automatically refresh. Refresh the page to see all current sessions.

   

3. Select View to connect with the XR session.

   The XR session opens in a new web browser.

   

   Important: There is currently not an option for the Instructor to enable connection-view only. The Instructor connects to the same desktop as the Trainee and has the ability to interact with the session.
