Operator Training Simulator selection modes and region definitions

To provide the best user experience when interacting with Operator Training Simulator (OTS) exercises, the associated OTS resources open by way of the following selection modes, which depend on the use case:

• Fixed — This selection mode is for courses which are only used by a single customer in a single region (no indication in the user interface [UI]).

• Trainee Selects — This selection mode allows the user to select a region from a predefined list prior to starting the OTS session. Auto-launch of the OTS session is not available for this mode.

• Automatic — This selection mode is for courses which are used by global user pools. The OTS region is selected based on latency calculations from the user’s browser (no indication in the UI).
