Connect to a Trainee's session through the multiple Operator Training Simulator Human Machine Interface applink

To increase the visibility of plant conditions, most control room operator stations have multiple monitors to display multiple Human Machine Interface (HMI) screens. The Multiple Operator Training Simulator (OTS) HMI applink allows Instructors to view which specific instance is open. When a Trainee opens an additional applink, the OTS Instructor dashboard is dynamically updated to reflect the additional applink.

Connect to a Trainee's session using the Multiple HMI applink

1. Select the course you would like to connect to a session for.

   A page opens and displays the various exercises in the course.

2. Find the category that the Trainee is in; a green status indicator displays when an OTS session is in progress.

3. Select Show active OTS sessions.

   The area expands and shows the users that are currently in the course.

   

4. Under Sessions, select the button with the screen the Trainee is on.

   If the Trainee has added an additional applink, the OTS Instructor dashboard is dynamically updated.

5. To enter the additional applink, select Additional Applink.

   The names on the Trainee's browser tabs match the names on the buttons.

   The additional applink launches in a new tab.
