AVEVA Unified Learning user roles overview

AVEVA Unified Learning is made up of three main roles: Trainee, Instructor, and Administrator.

• Trainee — Trainees can perform the following tasks:

  • View and start your activities

  • Achieve training badges

  • View course certificates and provide course feedback

  • View curriculum certificates

  • View your grades

  • Change your Trainee session username

• Instructor — Instructors can perform all of the tasks in the Trainee role, as well as the following:

  • View Trainee grades for a course

  • View a Trainee's progress

  • View Trainee course certificates

  • View a course completion report

  • Connect to and run a Trainee's Operator Training Simulator session

  • Schedule an Instructor-led OTS training session with multiple Trainees

  • Connect to and run a pre-scheduled Instructor-led OTS training session with multiple Trainees

  • End a pre-scheduled Instructor-led Operator Training Simulator training session with multiple Trainees

  • Leave a pre-scheduled Instructor-led Operator Training Simulator training session with multiple Trainees

  • Grade pre-scheduled Operator Training Simulator training sessions

  • Override grades from pre-scheduled sessions

  • Grade unscored Instructor-led sessions

  • Continue a scheduled Instructor-led Operator Training Simulator training session with multiple Trainees

  • Interact with a Trainee's active Operator Training Simulator training session

  • Customize the Training schedule list display

  • Delete unfinalized scheduled sessions

• Administrator — Administrators can perform all of the tasks in the Instructor and Trainee roles, as well as the following:

  • Invite new users to CONNECT

  • Add existing CONNECT users to additional CONNECT-based AVEVA Unified Learning groups

  • Create a curriculum

  • Add a new user to the enrollment platform

  • Create a new user group

  • Create a course set

  • View the Administrator User report

  • Remove users from the learning platform

  • View training badges

  • Change a completed Instructor-led activity Trainee name

  • Update an upcoming Instructor-led OTS training session as an Administrator

  • Customize the Instructor-led OTS training session evaluations

  • Update a custom course's primary Operator Training Simulator

  • Create and modify custom Operator Training Simulator exercises

  • Understand the CONNECT Credit transaction report resource codes
