You should be familiar with Microsoft Windows and Windows Server operating systems, SQL Server, and understand the basics of virtualization.

This guide provides information about optimizing your virtual environment for System Platform implementations. The examples that this document provides are based on VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V. However, other virtualization products can also be used with System Platform, including Amazon Web Services. A section that describes configuring AWS for System Platform is included. The information provided here is intended as general guidance.
