Welcome

When entering Data Model for the first time, the Welcome to DATA MODEL window is displayed. As a conceptual model has not been imported or created, all of the functionality is unavailable for selection.

The main part of the window is populated with short descriptions of the main tools of Data Model.

Select Import Model to create a model based on an imported external file or select Base Model to create a model with some preset definitions (units of measure, measure classes and disciplines).
