The POLAR keyword allows positions to be defined in terms of a distance in a particular direction from a point.
The syntax is:

POLAR dir DISTance expr -+- FROM -+- pos -----. | | | | ‘- point ---| | | ‘--------------------+---> |
If FROM is not specified the default is the origin of the owner.
For example:
