Create a component area

You can create a component area by converting a continuation area.
To create a component area, follow these steps:

Create a continuation area. See Continuation Area for more information.

Define a column count that is a multiple of the required attribute count, plus one additional column for chemical component names.

Select the continuation area.

In the Properties pane, select the following:

Area Type > Area > Component

Expand Behaviour and then specify a value in Number of Attributes.
Note: The first column is reserved for chemical component names and cannot be edited.
Example
The following example explains how a column is defined when creating a component area:

Number of attributes: 4

Number of selected columns: 9

Reserved chemical-name column: 1

Available columns: 8

Streams supported when two attributes are used per stream: 4
