Certificates

WCF makes use of certificates and when a certificate binding protocol is selected the certificate fields become active.

In the above example, because Client protocol binding uses a certificate, the form de-activates the "Same Setting for Client and Services" tick box. Selecting a Service protocol with certificate would active the service certificate fields.

Note:
The global daemon acts as both client and service, the Client handles outbound communication, while the Service handle inbound communications.

Certificates generated by you will have Private and Public key variants. You will use the Private key at your Local location and issue/export the certificate public key to the Remote neighbour location.
