Find and Replace Text

Any text string within a grid can be found, highlighted and optionally replaced. Text can also be searched in column headers.

Find Text
Type a string to be searched in the Find field and click Find to search the currently displayed grid (and column headers) for matching content.
The arrow on the right of the Find field displays a drop-down list of recent searches that are available for selection.
The arrow on the right of Find displays a drop-down list of find and replace options that are available for selection.

Next
Finds the next match.
Previous
Finds the previous match.
Search for Tag
Finds matching records in all grids, sub-grids and datasheets in the database. Results are displayed in the Find results window.

Use the Find results window, to select and open the required grids, sub-grids and datasheets.
Search in Headings
Finds matching text in the column headers of the currently displayed grid.
If the option is deselected, the Search in Data values option is automatically selected.
Search in Data Values
Finds matching text in the data cells of the currently displayed grid.
If the option is deselected, the Search in Headings option is automatically selected.
Find/Replace Text
Finds customized matching content which can be optionally replaced.
Use the Find and Replace window to define customized find and replace settings.

The Find tab defines the find settings.
Find what
Type a string to be searched.

Options
Defines the customized find settings.

Finds only matching text with a matching case. |

Match entire cell contexts |
Finds only matching text that matches the cell exactly. |

Use wildcards |
Finds matching text using wildcard symbols. For example, an asterisk can be used to find any string of characters or a question mark can be used to find any single character. |
Find Next
Finds matching text. If no matches are found, a message is displayed.


The Replace tab defines the replace settings.
Replace with
Type a string to be replaced.
The arrow on the right of the Replace with field displays a drop-down list of recent replacements that are available for selection.
Replace All
Replaces all matching text, without confirmation.
Replace
Replaces the currently selected text.
