New Datasheet Template

Use the New Datasheet Template window to define the new datasheet template name, Description, Data source and Template file.

Name
Enter a name for the new datasheet template element (special characters or spaces are not permitted).
Description
Enter a brief description for the new datasheet template element.
Data source
Select Add to display the Add Data Source window, then select the data source from the Add Data Source window.
Template File
Browse and navigate to the location of the file to be used as a basis of the new datasheet.
Disciplines
Select the discipline or disciplines that the template is to be used in.

Template file
Optionally, specify the location of an Excel file on which to base the template.
For external calculation template
Specifies if the template is to be used for external calculations.
Hide the template to the user
Use to hide the template from the list of templates available for selection in the Engineer module.
Edit the template when finished
Specifies whether the template will be edited (that means, whether the Database Template Editor will be opened) once finished.
Properties of Additional Pages
Click the New tab at the bottom of the template to add a new page. In the Properties pane, select the type of the new page from the Sheet Type field.
Optionally, edit these properties of the new page:

Can Delete |
Specifies whether the page can be deleted from instances of the datasheet created from the template. |

Can Duplicate |
Specifies whether the page can be duplicated in instances of the datasheet created from the template. |
|
RowCount |
Specifies the number of rows of cells in the template and in datasheet instances created from it. |
|
ColumnCount |
Specifies the number of columns of cells in the template and in datasheet instances created from it. |

Default Print |
Select False to enable these properties: Orientation
