Conceptual Model Properties

When using the diagram view or grid view, select the Conceptual Model properties pen to display the conceptual model properties.

Enter a name and description for the conceptual model. By default, the Model Statistics, Data Types and Mapped Models tabs are collapsed.

Model Statistics

Displays the number of classes, attributes, associations and class associations in the model.

Data Types

Displays the data types that are available for selection.

The selected data types become available in the Attributes properties. Refer to Attributes for further information.

Mapped Models

Displays existing models that are mapped to the currently selected model.

Set Active Levels

Select from the drop-down list to define the number of levels for classes to be active in the build. For example, setting the value to 2 will mean that all the leaf classes, plus one level of superclasses ,will be active have instances created. It is beneficial to performance to not have every class active in build.

Add Base Model Definitions

Use the Add Base Model Definitions functionality to add the same units of measure, measure classes and disciplines (preset definitions) that are included in the Create Base Model functionality available on the Welcome window.

Note:
The Add Base Model Definitions functionality is only available for selection when using conceptual models, this functionality adds the base definitions that would have been added if an empty base model had been created.
