Modify Connectors

A connector can be modified using grip points and additional grip points.
A connector can be modified using the Properties window.

Connector vertices can be modified using the Vertex Editor window. Text can be associated with each connector vertex.

Text |
Input a value in the field to define the content for the connector text. Click Note: |

Text Offset |
Input a value in the field or select from the drop-down list to define the text offset from the center of the connector along the X axis and the Y axis. |

Text Colour |
Select from the drop-down list to define the color of the connector text. |
|
Alignment |
Select Base from the drop-down list to align the bottom of the connector text with the connector.
Select BBody from the drop-down list to align the connector text above the connector.
Select HBody from the drop-down list to align the center of the connector text with the connector.
Select TBody from the drop-down list to align the top of the connector text with the connector.

Font |
Select By Style from the drop-down list to inherit the text font from the visual style. Select from the drop-down list to define the font for the connector text. |

Text segment |
By Style inherits the connector text position from the visual style. Start positions connector text adjacent to the first connector segment.
Centre positions connector text adjacent to the center connector segment.
End positions connector text adjacent to the last connector segment

Justification |
Select Left from the drop-down list to left justify the connector text. Select Right from the drop-down list to right justify the connector text. Select Centre from the drop-down list to center justify the connector text. |

Char height |
Select By Style from the drop-down list to inherit the connector text character height from the visual style. Input a value in the field or select from the drop-down list to define the character height for the connector text. |

Character spacing |
Select By Style from the drop-down list to inherit the connector text character spacing from the visual style. Input a value in the field or select from the drop-down list to define the character spacing for the connector text. |

Line spacing |
Select By Style from the drop-down list to inherit the connector text line spacing from the visual style. Input a value in the field or select from the drop-down list to define the vertical line spacing for the connector text. |

Rotation angle |
Input a value in the field to define the rotation angle for the connector text. |
|
Marker glyph |
By Style inherits the connector marker display settings from the visual style. Select an image from the gallery to modify the connector marker display settings. A marker is positioned at each connector vertex point.

Marker Colour |
By Style inherits the connector marker color settings from the visual style. Select a color to modify the connector marker color. |
|
Marker size |
By Style inherits the connector marker size from the visual style. Input a value in the field or select a size to modify the size of the connector marker. |

Is major |
By Style inherits the connector jump settings from the visual style. Yes defines the connector as dominant. A jump is not applied to the connector at connector intersections. No defines the connector as subordinate. A jump is applied to the connector at connector intersections.

Jumping glyph |
By Style inherits the connector jump display settings from the visual style. The default jump display is indicated with a gap. Select an image from the gallery to modify the connector jump display settings. |

Jumping size |
By Style inherits the connector jump size from the visual style. Input a value in the field or select a size to modify the size of the connector jump. |
|
Show add vertex grips |
Yes displays vertex grips on the drawing canvas when the connector as selected. No removes vertex grips from the drawing canvas display when the connector as selected.

Flow |
By Style inherits the connector flow direction from the visual style. None modifies the connector flow direction to no direction. Forward modifies the connector flow direction to forwards. Back modifies the connector flow direction to backwards. The flow setting is created for use with asymmetric line styles or glyphs |

Shield colour |
By Style inherits the connector shield color settings from the visual style. Select a color to modify the connector shield color. |
|
Shield diameter |
By Style inherits the connector shield diameter size from the visual style. Input a value in the field or select a size to modify the diameter of the connector shield. |

Shield extension |
By Style inherits the connector shield extension from the visual style. Input a value in the field or select a size to modify the extension of the connector shield. |

Shield line type |
By Style inherits the connector shield line style from the visual style. Select an image from the gallery to modify the connector shield line style settings. |

Shield orientation |
By Style inherits the connector shield orientation from the visual style. Automatic calculates the shield orientation based on the connection point positions. Horizontal orientates the shield horizontally. Vertical orientates the shield vertically |
Functionality is available on the Vertex Editor window only to modify Flow arrow representation on connectors.

Angle |
Input a value in the field to define the rotation angle of the flow arrow. |

Distance |
Input a decimal value in the field to define the position of the flow arrow on the connector segment. For example, input 0.5 to position the flow arrow at the mid-point of the connector segment, or input 1 to position the flow arrow at the end point of the connector segment. |

Rotation Strategy |
The angle of the flow arrow is dependent on the rotation strategy. Select Custom from the drop-down list to allow the modification of the flow arrow rotation angle using the origin point context. Select By segment from the drop-down list to allow the modification of the flow arrow rotation angle using the segment context. |

Size |
Input a value in the field to modify the size of the flow arrow. |
