Configure Publishing to AVEVA NET

Exports data to a SVG file which is suitable for import into AVEVA NET. The export file can be configured as a grid (tagged item), datasheet, or a report.

Use the Publish to AVEVA NET - Configuration window to define the configuration file, set the logging options and staging options for the exported file.

Name

Select Tags from the drop-down list to export a SVG/AVEVA.NET file that contains grid data.

Select Datasheets from the drop-down list to export a SVG/AVEVA.NET file that contains datasheets.

Select Reports from the drop-down list to export a SVG/AVEVA.NET file that contains report data.

Location

Type a value in the field to identify the location of the configuration file.

Alternatively, use Select Configuration Location to browse to the required folder.

Log Enabled

Creates a log file (.txt file) when the export is processed.

If the check box is selected, a log file is created when the export is processed. The Log File field becomes active.

If the check box is not selected, a log file is not created when the export is processed.

Log File

Type a value in the field to identify the filename and location of the log file.

Alternatively, use Select Log File to browse to the required folder.

Staging Options

Type a value in the field to identify the top level folder into which files are exported.

Alternatively, use Select Staging Area to browse to the required folder.

Create Trigger File

Creates a trigger.start file which triggers the AVEVA NET Portal’s import controller to automatically process all files that reside in the same folder.

If the check box is selected, a trigger.start file (an empty text file) staging area folder is created for each file type when the export is processed.

If the check box is selected, a trigger.start file is not created when the export is processed.

Restore Defaults

Restores the default configuration settings.
