Creates new records in a Tag management system enabled project. Use the New Tag window to define the record class and the number of created records.
Note:
Any naming action is initiated in SEE 3D is managed by Tag Management System.

Class
For a TMS enabled project - Select the ellipsis to populate the field using the Select Class window. The Select Class window is automatically populated based on the first element type defined in the DB View which is used in the grid configuration.
For example if the Instrument grid is configured to use the Database (DB) view AVEVA_LIST_Instrument, AbsolutePressureTransmitter as the first element type in the DB View element types and New is clicked while the grid is open. The Select Class window is automatically populated with the Absolute Pressure Transmitter class.
If the class is automatically populated in the New Tag window and the ellipsis (next to the Select field) is clicked then the Select Class window is automatically pre populates the class as the selected class.
If the grid displays records of a single class, then the Select Class window is automatically populated with that class and the naming rules of that are initialized. For example if the grid configuration of the Enclosure _lists grid has only one element type defined and if the grid is open and New is clicked. The Select Class window is automatically populated that element class.
If the grid is configured with sub grids, the New Tag window has an additional drop down enabling the context to be set on creation of new tag(s). All grids (main and sub grids) for the active window are displayed as in the tabs of the grid(s) in the additional drop down. The main grid is the default and the New Tag window is initialized to a class that is relevant to the main grid.
Selection from another grid resets the New Tag window to a class that is relevant to the selected grid. If no class can be found for selection the window is initialized to an empty class.
If the active window has only one grid then the additional drop down list is not displayed in the New Tag window. The drop down list is also not displayed when the New Tag window is displayed without an active window hosting a grid.
When the class has been selected, naming rules and attribute fields may be displayed, populate as required.
No. of Tags
Type the required number of tags in the field or use + and - to increase or decrease the number of required records.
Default Name (System)
Used to select the system that will be part of the default name of the record, if required.
Name Precedent
Enter the prefix for the default name.
Counter Type
If the default name is to include a counter, e.g. an incrementing number, select the type of counter.

Note:
If no gird is selected and a class which is not built (inactive) is also selected,
the functionality becomes unavailable. A not built or inactive class is represented
as a folder icon in the class hierarchy (classes which are built (active) are represented
as a document icon). This functionality can also be observed in the Configuration module on the Libraries tab.
Note:
If the class selected is active and is both an engineering and physical item or an
Functional Item, an additional drop down list (Class type) is displayed in the Select Class window (Engineering /Physical Item is the default). The drop down is not displayed if the class is inactive.
Note:
From the Naming Rules window in the Configuration module on the Rules tab, any class can be selected irrespective if it is active or inactive.
Note:
If the selected class has a functional decoration (that is a decoration from the simulation
vocabulary in the Configuration module) a drop down is enabled on the Class Picker window.
