Component area

A component area displays chemical component data in an H&MB list datasheet.

Attribute mapping

When you map attributes, consider the following:

  • Map flowing component attributes within the component area.

  • Use additional continuation areas to display phase-specific data for each stream. Configure these areas horizontally so that they align with the component area.

Component area validations

Consider the following restrictions:

  • Component areas support flowing component data only.

  • The first column is read-only and cannot contain attribute mappings.

  • The number of attributes must be proportional to the component area size.

  • Do not configure more attributes than the component area can display.

  • Only attribute mappings are allowed inside a component area.

  • Do not place Units of Measure (UOM) controls or case controls inside a component area.

  • UOM and case controls can be linked to attributes within a component area.

  • You can configure units of measure, precision, and trailing zeros for mapped flowing component attributes.
